Boursot's Wine Collection will remain closed until Tuesday 19th January but if you would like to buy some wines during that time, please let us know imminently so we can arrange to leave your cases at a nearby and easily accessible collection point.

Boursot's Cross Channel Fare Deal
As a Boursot's customer, until 31st March 2010 you can get specially priced day return trips at £23 for a car and all passengers Sundays to Fridays, and at £30 for Saturdays. As always, these fares are only available by calling the Ferry Travel Club on 01304 501100 (new telephone number) and by quoting our code "Boursot". You do not pay a membership fee and the Club also has good rates on longer trips and for accommodation in the area.
From 19th January if you spend more than 500€ with us, we will be happy to reimburse your day return fare booked through the Ferry Travel Club, so please remember to bring along your receipt.

Our database
We have been experiencing problems with our new mailing program recently, and our provider is yet to provide a fix. So if you had asked to be unsubscribed recently and find yourself receiving this (if you have read this far!), please accept our apologies. I hope to have everything rectified shortly.
We have become aware that some of your e-mails have not been getting through to us recently. In this age of increasing volumes of unsolicited spam, servers' criteria are always being adjusted and so, safe delivery cannot be assumed. Normally we acknowledge receipt of your e-mails straight away or at the most, within 48 hours. In order to have the best chance of getting your message past anti-spam programs, I suggest not using any graphics in your e-mails.

Forthcoming Boursot Events
In case it should be of interest to you or your friends who may wish to know more about wine, I shall be alongside such faces as chef Jean-Christophe Novelli at The France Show at Earls Court this coming weekend. I shall be talking about various wines in Wine Theatre 2 at 1pm each day on the 8th, 9th & 10th January. The website is www.thefranceshow.com.
Boursot's "Blues Buster" Gourmet Dinner: Saturday 30th January: Hôtel Château de Cléry
"The Sheer Variety from Bordeaux" hosted by Guy Boursot
The end of January is when most of us need a bit of cheering up. So, on the 30th we will be hosting a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable evening in the cosy surroundings of one of the area's prettiest château hotels, built in 1766 and set in a 12 acre park.
The restaurant at Château Cléry boasts fine cuisine and this dinner will, unusually, feature before and during dinner a comparative selection of clarets from the communes of Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, as well as a pair of dry whites and a sweet wine - all from the Bordeaux area. As you can see, I hope to be able to demonstrate the sheer diversity of wine styles from France's most important wine region. If you like the wines of Bordeaux, you will love this evening. Or if you don't know much about wine, no matter - I believe you will still really enjoy the experience!
This dinner will be just 75€ per person (about £68 at today's rate) to include 4 courses and several (!) wines. There are no extras to pay.
The hotel also has fitness facilities with a sauna and gym (but no pool), so you may wish to get away for a complete change of pace. You can see Château de Cléry's website here.
As usual, we have also negotiated preferentially priced accommodation and have booked a selection of both superior "Luxe" and "Privilège" rooms meaning that a night for this occasion will be at the substantially reduced rate of 75€ and 85€ (respectively) per person including breakfast.
